Inspired by a lifetime of service and a heritage built around family and community, we source exceptional coffees from renowned growing regions across the globe. The Story Behind the Brand
Growing up in a Puerto Rican household, coffee was more than a beverage — it was a daily ritual. It brought together grandparents, parents, neighbors, and friends around the kitchen table. Stories were shared, lessons were learned, and relationships were strengthened one cup at a time.
Years later, while serving in the military and traveling throughout the world, our founder discovered coffee cultures far beyond the Caribbean — from the highlands of Colombia and Guatemala to the mountains of Ethiopia and the volcanic regions of Indonesia. Each origin told its own story through flavor, tradition, and craftsmanship.
After completing military service, the mission became clear: build a company that honored Puerto Rican values while celebrating the world's finest coffee-growing regions.

The name Borinquen pays tribute to the island's indigenous Taino heritage — a reminder of where our founder's family story began. It stands for resilience, pride, and the warmth of Puerto Rican hospitality that has always centered around a shared cup of coffee.
